Binibining Pilipinas International 2009 Died In A Car Accident

Indeed car accident happened everywhere and in fact lots of news about car accidents has been reported for the past couple of months. The recent victim is the Binibining Pilipinas Internation 2009- Melody Adelaide Manuel Gersbach. She was with her makeup artist Alden Orense, and her driver, Santos Ramos Jr were also killed during the incident. Gersbach was supposed to attend Ms. Bicolandia Executive Committee meeting for Ms. Bicolandia 2010 at the Avenue Hotel in Naga City when they collided with a assenger bus in Barangay Pawili in Bula.

My condolences to the family of Melody Gersbach. I am sure she will always beremembered by Filipinos and her friends.

Personal Life

Gersbach hailed from Daraga, Albay, in the Bicol Region. Her father is of German nationality (Wolfgang Gersbach) and her mother is a Filipina (Marina Manuel). She is a management graduate of the University of Asia and the Pacific and was managing a family business (a restaurant) in Bicol at the time of her passing.

Pageantry

Gersbach, then age 23, was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2009 on March 7, 2009. She was the first Bicolana beauty to hold a Binibining Pilipinas title since Miriam Quiambao last won the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe crown in 1999. Gersbach represented the Philippines in the 49th Miss International 2009 pageant on November 2009 in Macau, China, where she placed among the top 15 semifinalists.Gersbach was also one of the pageant coaches along with Stella Marquez-Araneta who help choose the wardrobe for Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2010, Venus Raj. Shortly before her passing, Gersbach said she told Raj “to relax and enjoy the Miss Universe pageant.’’

Awesome Performance Of Jovit Baldivino

I know this guy will come a long way, when I first saw him sing his auditioned piece in Pilipinas Got Talent I already knew he would make it to the finals. Imagine an almost 4 million hits in youtube this only mean that people love him and no wonder because he is such a nice guy a humble guy at that.

Last night, when Luiz Mazano and Billy Crawford called his name I felt static and even more when the audience started shouting wildly as he sings Too Much Love Will Kill You. This song is not an easy song to sing but he made it. So go go.. Jovit and other Filipino Talent!

As for the fight all I can say is that the fight is boring and I blame it to Clottey. I am pretty sure the people who watched the fight at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas would surely agree. Well, no wonder Clottey build such defense as he is afraid to lose bleeding and unconscious. I am glad that this strategy didn't beat Pacman.

So after this fight, who would fight the pound for pound king? Would it be Floyd Mayweighter?

On Manny Pacquiao

Pardon me guys for not posting informative post for quite sometimes now. I really wanted to do a post of Manny Pacquiao after winning the battle to Miguel Cotto.

Then there is a rumors spreading all over the showbiz world about his so-called relation to sexy star Krista Rannillo. I’ve heard many reports about Pacman and Ranillo but I am having a second thought whether to believe the rumors or not as they are currently shooting a new movie which will be shown next month. I remember when Ara Mina and Pacman did a movie there are also rumored that the two are having a relationship so I guess this rumors is just a publicity for this movie.

On the other hand I would like to congratulate Pacman for winning his 7th title in the boxing world. The first boxer to have a 7 title in boxing, amazing isn’t it? So no wonder Floyd Mayweather, Sr kept on bragging that Pacman is taking steroids or any enhancement drugs when he faced Miguel Cotto. But then Pacman tested negative for steroid and other enhancements drugs after his victorious fight over Cotto.
On my next post I will be posting about the Maguindanao massacre. I know this post is kinda of late as well but then as the saying goes “Better Late than Never”.

Ninoy Aquino Day

Today, is a specially non-working holiday in commemorating the assisination of the late Sen Benigno Ninoy Aquino at the Manila International Airport (later renamed in his honor) upon returning home from exile in the United States. He is called as a hero to the Filipinos as he is known to be the only senator who is vocal in opposing the dictatorship regime of late President Ferdinand Marcos.

The family is requesting all the Filipinos to wear something that is yellow to commemorate this event. I my self will wear a yellow blouse later today when I go to downtown.

A Blast 1

Last Thursday I had a blast at the town plaza, it was LGU night and every year the Local Government will invite some celebrities from Manila to entertain the people of Tanauan. This year the LGU invited four Celebrities.

She played Aviona, the female warrior from the hit series, Mulawin. She also became co-host of the gender-sensitive magazine show 3R and starred in the 10th Season of Love 2 Love opposite Starstruck grand finalists, Mark Herras, in the series entitled “My Darling Mermaid” . She was part of the success of the phenomenal TV hit, MariMar, where she played Natalia Montenegro.

King had her first movie break via the film "Birhen ng Manaoag", where she played the daughter of Cherrie Pie Picache. After the "Birhen ng Manaoag" movie, she starred in Love 2 Love opposite Jay Aquitania and was snatched by Regal Films to be one of their Regal idols. She has done "Hari Ng Sablay,” “ Ako Legal Wife, " “I Will Always Love You” and “ Mulawin the Movie” for Regal Films

She played the rule Marta in Pieta together with Ryan Agoncillo. Took a break from showbiz (2002-2007) to study. She rejected several films offered by both Viva Films and Regal Films.

Farewell

Yesterday was declared a non working day in honor to the former president Corazon C. Aquino. The live TV coverage started at around 9 in the morning. But since I need to run some errands at home I only able to watch every time I am resting and I always end up in tears. Most especially when her younger and favorite daughter Kris Aquino-Yap speak in behalf of the family.

On the other hand. MR Google is updating again but still I am up and above in spite of loosing my hard earned PR.

Good Bye And Thank You

Ma’am Imelda of My Overview told me about the death of our former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino after battling a colon cancer. I felt sad but at the same time happy because she is now with our creator where she can’t feel any pain.
“Our mother peacefully passed away at 3:18 am of cardio-respiratory arrest” – Senator Benigno Aquino Jr.

Her son Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III confirmed that Former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino died of cardio respiratory arrest at exactly 3:18 a.m. Saturday at the Makati Medical Center after battling colon cancer for more than a year. She was 76 years old.


Corazon "Cory"Cojuangco Aquino was born on January 25, 1933 is the Seventh and First Female President of the Republic of the Philippines. She took the Presidency by the Controversial "Power of the People" which ended the 20 years of Marcos Regime.
The EDSA Revolution and the Peaceful People Power happened in the Philippines 23 years ago and the former president is the symbol of Freedom. I was in elementary when this political chaos was felt through out the nation. She has done a lot of good things for the country and although she was not in politics and choice to be a private person she still visible when it come for the betterment of the country.

Morning Blabbing

Apologize for now updating yesterday, I slept at around 8.30 too early because I usually go to bed at around 10pm-1am that is if I am chatting with my boyfriend. Since he is off for a vacation I always sleep early. Yesterday was a busy day for me, I headed to the bank early in the morning as I need to verify and encash THE checks for the Sanguniang Kabataan travel.

When I get home I immediately open mypc to do some update and blog hopping, apparently the husband of my aunt came and ask me a favor to pay for their tax since my aunt is in London I usually do ask to do something for their business.

And speaking of tax, few months ago my boyfriend will always talk to his accountant regarding his tax. At first, I did not understand why he needs an accountant for that so I ask my boyfriend why he needs his accountant. Since then, I understand that computing of taxes is not really easy, you need someone that is well educated to do it for you to avoid problems in the future.

Was It Suicide?

I was following the news about the shooting incident that involving the wife of the popular news anchor and former Congressman of the First District of Leyte , Ted Failon. The shooting incident happened last Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at around 10.30 AM inside their house at Tierra Pura Subdivision Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

Since, the shooting incident took place police investigator has invited Ted Failon, their driver and house helper to Camp Karingal in Quezon City for questioning. Investigators charged obstruction of justice to aforementioned for cleaning the bathroom where the victim was found as well as the Mitsubishi pajero that was used to bring Trinidad Etong the nearby hospital.

Failon’s wife Trinidad Arteche Etong, 45, was declared dead by doctors of the New Era General Hospital at 8:50 last night. She had been in a coma and declared brain-dead after she sustained a bullet wound in her left temple, although the doctors told Failon that Trina is fighting for her life and was showing improvement.

As of now Failon and other members of the household are negative of gun powder although they are not yet off in the case. Based on the paraffin examination conducted by QCPD Crime Laboratory to Trinidad Arteche Etong, the results were negative results for gunpowder burns on her both hands.

Huh, if this is the case, who is behind the shooting incident?

At the age of 47, she admits that she is never been kiss and is living alone with her cat. The moment Susan’s enter the stage the audience starting to laugh as they expect her to be the female version of William Hung, but they were in awe including the three judges when Susan start singing I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.

Multi-awarded Filipino rap icon Francis Magalona passed away at The Medical City hospital in Pasig City around noon today, after nearly seven months battle of leukemia. He was 44.

Francis death was announce in national television in the noontime variety show Eat Bulada by Vic Sotto, few minutes after his death. His remains lie in state at the Christ the King Memorial Chapel in Greenmeadows, Quezon City.

He is survived by his wife Pia Arroyo and children Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and actresses Maxene and Saab.
